SummaryWe are a husband and wife team who specialise in
portraits and
weddings and have been shooting together professionally since 2008. We operate out of Whiteley near Fareham in Hampshire and normally cover an area within an hours travel of home but will consider assignments further afield.
We are easy going and enjoy a friendly relationship with our clients. It is always our aim to provide an excellent service.
The cornerstones of our portraits are:

posing.
In order to get the best
expressions we try to make sure our clients are relaxed and happy. We understand well that most people feel uncomfortable in front of a camera and we do our best to make our clients feel comfortable and confident.
We offer couples a pre-wedding shoot where can all get to know each other and we train them on how to pose as a couple. We have had many couples who felt nervous at the beginning of their pre-wedding shoots only to flourish with confidence on their wedding day. This is all part of what we do to try and create the chemistry that might result in the best and most natural expressions on the day.
Lighting is central to everything that we do. Whether on location or in the studio, good lighting has the power to flatter our subjects and is a vital mood-setting tool. Different body shapes and face shapes benefit from different types of lighting. When in the studio we can control the light precisely. When on location or at a wedding we know where to find the best and most flattering light. When location light is not flattering enough, we have portable lights, diffusers and reflectors to make it so.
Holding a natural looking
pose is crucial. A good expression in good lighting means nothing if our subjects stand rigid in front of the camera. We show our clients how best to stand, lean or sit in order to look relaxed and at their best.
We tend not to go for novelty shots and poses unless our clients ask for it. Our preferred approach is more a classical treatment.
We seek to catch the essence of a wedding day, not just in a documentary way, but in a way that captures the emotional contours of the day through candids, formals, portraits, details and scene-setters. We do our best to be as non-instrusive as possible and we work as fast as we can.
Many of our clients return to us for further business and many have found out about us through recommendation. We do our best to keep our Testimonials up to date on our website, to show how our service is currently being perceived.
